Prevent "new cold" and eliminate "old cold"

When you start to pay attention to the cold, the first thing you need to do is to prevent inhaling "new cold", especially in your daily diet, and keep your lower body warm. Then you should slowly start to expel the "old cold" by taking a bath, soaking your feet, wearing cold-repelling socks, etc. At the beginning, we often hear:

"Footbath is troublesome..."

"My hands and feet are often cold, and I don't know how to deal with it"

"I just can't help wanting to eat something cold..."

Don't think too strictly. Simply accomplishing one thing will give you extra points. Then slowly do a little more and a life that warms your body and mind will begin.

Five simple steps to "warm up and expel cold":

1. Check out my information sharing, or read a book on warming up/removing cold that you share the same feelings about.

2. Choose an action that suits you, such as soaking your feet, avoiding cold food, wearing socks, etc., and start the trial today.

3. Choose a way to reduce your intake of cold food, such as cold drinks or fruits. You can also reduce the portion size or the number of times you eat. Start the trial today.

4. Pay attention to your body’s reaction. Refer to the reaction of the miasma . It is a reaction of physical improvement and also a detoxification reaction.

5. Don’t rush. Give your body time and patience to work at its own pace. And have fun doing it.

01 Footbath

Foot Soaking Soak your feet every day to keep your body warm! Bathing the lower body is the most effective, but not everyone can do it, so soaking the feet is a good choice! Foot soaking is magical and is the easiest way to expel cold to do immediately at home! Soak in 38-40 degree warm water for 20 minutes. Change the water when you feel the water is cold. The height must be above the ankles. It would be even better if it reaches the calves.

02 Wear cold-resistant socks

The lower body is usually cooler than the upper body, so keeping it warm is a must. Cold-repelling socks basically have four layers to enhance the warmth and detoxification effects. It is recommended to wear it after taking a bath and before going to bed. If you stay at home and do not go out, it is recommended to wear it to enhance the cold resistance. Silk has the effect of expelling cold, dampness, detoxification and inflammation, so it is the first layer that sticks to the skin. The second layer is cotton or wool, the third layer is silk, the fourth layer is cotton or wool, and so on. If you don't have cold-resistant socks, you can wear loose cotton socks instead, but be careful not to tie your feet too tightly.

03 Eat warm food and avoid cold food

Eat less frozen and cold food, drink hot drinks or warm water, and eat more warming ingredients such as ginger, red beans, miso, brown sugar, etc. It is better to proceed step by step, and more importantly, find a solution that suits you and enjoy it.

04. Carry a coat and shawl with you

We are surrounded by air-conditioning all year round, especially in summer when the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is extremely large and it is easy to catch cold. When going from outdoors to air-conditioned places, we need to put on some clothes, especially the lower body, to avoid catching cold.

05 Keep your mood stable and happy

This may be the hardest point, but it is very important to unite the body and mind.
