Regarding eczema, I have been suffering from eczema on my hands since I started working as a summer intern. I have seen countless Western doctors and applied countless steroid ointments. One doctor even told me that my condition was too serious and I needed cryotherapy (*note). Every time I applied the ointment/completed the treatment, it would heal quickly, but it would recur after a while, and each time the area of the recurrence became larger and larger. Since then, I have reluctantly accepted that eczema is an incurable disease and no longer pay special attention to it.
Until mid-February 2019, the worst happened to me and eczema suddenly appeared on the skin around my eyes. At first I thought it was the change in weather that caused the sensitivity around my eyes, so I stopped eating light food. However, the situation did not improve as I had hoped, and the area gradually expanded to the skin under my eyes. I went to see a western doctor, but he prescribed steroid creams and anti-allergic drugs as usual. I fell into the vicious cycle of "getting better for a while, but getting another attack as soon as I stopped using the cream."
This finally inspired me to see a Chinese doctor. Fortunately, through the introduction of a friend, I met a very good doctor who made me truly understand that the root cause of eczema is coldness , and at the same time corrected many of my wrong ideas.
It turns out that many diseases are caused by the body being too cold. The coldness in the body creates a good environment for toxins to multiply wildly in the body. When they replicate to a certain extent, our immune system will step in to fight off the toxins, causing inflammation (redness, swelling, heat and pain). In other words, inflammation is actually the body's mechanism for expelling toxins.
The use of steroids will only temporarily suppress the body's immune system, so that the inflammation will disappear, creating the illusion of "getting better". But the toxins will never go away just because you don’t take the initiative. Instead, they will continue to replicate infinitely in your body. This is the real reason why the scope becomes larger every time it relapses.
Eczema is actually caused by the accumulation of a large amount of toxins (known as wind-cold/wind evil in traditional Chinese medicine) within certain nerve cells. When the accumulation reaches a certain amount, the body's immune system starts working to excrete the toxins through the skin, causing localized rashes. Because toxins are hidden in the nervous system, eczema usually appears regularly and symmetrically. Weather changes will actually only make the skin where toxins are located in the nervous system (i.e. the skin with rashes) worse. If the statement that skin rashes are caused by weather changes is true, the rash should be all over the body, and it would never be just a localized rash. Therefore, the change in weather is only an indirect factor, and the main cause of eczema is still the toxins in one's own body.
Therefore, the real way to cure eczema is to increase your body's thermal energy and enhance your immune system to fight off toxins. And expelling the cold is the best method! In fact, living in Hong Kong, we often live in air-conditioned environments, and we inhale a lot of cold air into our bodies every day, so it becomes even more important to expel the cold on a daily basis.
I started to expel the cold last year and combined with the warm-type Chinese medicine prescribed by the doctor, the eczema on my face, elbows and feet has completely healed. As for the thousand-year-old eczema on my hands, I am still trying to get rid of the cold. I have used a lot of steroids, and the hands are far away from the nervous system, so it takes more time to heal. But the recovery of facial eczema has greatly increased my confidence in curing eczema. The most amazing thing is that, in addition to eczema, many minor physical ailments have disappeared without a trace due to the expelling of cold, including nasal allergies ranging from minor to major, and occasional joint pains. Drinking ginger tea, avoiding cold food and soaking feet have become my daily routine.
The benefits of expelling cold to the body are numerous. I hope everyone will join the ranks of expelling cold as soon as possible!
*Note: Liquid nitrogen cryotherapy is a common physical therapy in dermatology. It uses liquid nitrogen at minus 196 degrees Celsius to reach the skin surface at about minus 20-50 degrees Celsius. Through several cycles of freezing and warming, frostbite destroys the diseased epidermal cells, causing necrosis of the diseased skin cells, which gradually form scabs and then fall off layer by layer to achieve the therapeutic effect.

I have been expelling cold for more than a year, mainly because I suffer from eczema. I unexpectedly found that my body's resistance became stronger and stronger after expelling cold. Therefore, I want to let more Hong Kong people know about the benefits of expelling cold.
